Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (1606-1669) was a Dutch Baroque painter, printmaker, and draughtsman, widely regarded as one of the greatest visual artists in history.
Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Rembrandt received a classical education before studying art under Jacob van Swanenburg and Pieter Lastman.
