According to rumors, Sony Pictures is negotiating for a seven-figure purchase of the movie rights to the coming authorized biography, "Steve Jobs." The new book, whose release was moved up from November to this month following the Apple co-founder's passing, was written by Walter Isaacson, former chairman of CNN and ex-managing editor for Time magazine.

Isaacson's previous biographies include ones on Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein.
